Final Post

The staff of GRT are sad to announce that we will be leaving GRT to rot. Roblox News has been bought by JaredValdez4. The staff of GRT are slowly becoming inactive on ROBLOX, so there is no longer a point to this website. However, Shane and Erick from GRT will be working on a Video Game news site, instead of a Roblox one. I will post the link when I make it.

Emagination Hosts ROBLOX Computer Camp

Emagination is a summer camp program for kids and teens, and they decided to host a ROBLOX computer camp!
This course will help you:

• Build with friends in a Personal Server
• Learn about Roblox wiring components
• Design levels with interactive wired components
• Build interactive models
• Create your own games with ROBLOX Studio

The ROBLOX workshop will be offered in four of the Emagination locations:

• Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts
• Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA
• Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL
• Mercer University in Atlanta, GA

Sky Marshall Blitz Battle Contest

ROBLOX has just made another building contest, sponsored by the admin Njay! The contest is called "Sky Marshall Blitz Battle." The objective of the contest is to "Build an aerial combat game where the goal is for one team of pilots to win against the other team. The sky's the limit!"

Someone's got to be in charge up there. Leave it to the Sky Marshalls to keep the peace at thousands of feet off the ground.

ROBLOX Game Conference (Rally) 2012

ROBLOX has finally released the information for the ROBLOX Rally 2012!

"
The Conference will be held on Saturday July 14, 2012 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, conveniently located near dozens of hotels and next to the themed amusement park Great America. We will explore discount Great America tickets for those who wish to visit the day after the conference.
Santa Clara, California is located in Silicon Valley, 10 minutes away from the San Jose International Airport. It’s about a 50 minute drive from San Francisco, and 90 minutes from the Monterey Bay Aquarium."

Sadly; GRT staff cannot go there as we hoped to record and get some good info for the site.

Roblox Lets Kids Build Their Own Worlds Online - Forbes

A ROBLOX post was written on Forbes, an American publishing and media company also known as the Forbes magazine. ( Forbes Entry )

ROBLOX has surpassed Disney and Nickelodeon as the biggest entertainment website for kids. According to Forbes; Roblox had it's start five years ago and CEO David Baszucki (Builderman) says: it's been“growing like gangbusters ever since.”

 “A lot of the stickiness comes from the variety,” says Baszucki. “People are building fantasies, obstacle courses, and building games.”


Forbes author; Alex Knapp says "I started my own Roblox account myself to check it out, and I have to admit I can see why people get stuck." Stuck is used in this sentence meaning 'Addicted.'

 “There’s a building kit for simple games,” Baszucki explains. “But more advanced users can program complex things with our script capabilities, which is built on Lua – the same language used in World of Warcraft.”

 “We love the ads,” says Baszucki. “They’re funny.”

ComScore states that ROBLOX is ranked #1 entertainment site for kids and it's revenue has increased 75% year over year.
